Apple's upcoming iPhone 17 lineup is expected to be one of the most colourful among its predecessors. Leaks suggest that Apple will resurrect some classic colours, as well as introduce several bold new finishes and one of the brightest colours ever for a Pro model.
The iPhone 17 series, which will include the iPhone 17, the iPhone 17 Air, and the iPhone 17 Pro models, is expected to launch in September 2025.
Each version of the iPhone will include its colour options, with the standard iPhone 17 colour names rumoured to include Purple, Green, Blue, Black, and White.
The purple and green colours are expected to make a comeback, with the green more saturated than we have seen in years. Blue could also take on a new hue, while black and white remain the old safe route for the minimalist.
iPhone 17 Air colours
The iPhone 17 Air will reportedly have a softer and more refined colour look. It may use colours like light blue, light gold, black, and silver.
Light Gold is said to include a pale metallic sheen, while Light Blue could resemble an airy version of the Sky Blue finish from some past Apple products. The classic black and silver colours keep the newer models rooted in a timeless theme.
iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max colours (expected)
The leaks for the high-end iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max point to four colours: orange, dark blue, silver, and black. The big one is orange, a bright, attention-grabbing colour unseen before in the Pro range.
Whereas the dark blue is a dark, premium hue, silver is a clean and shiny metallic colour, and black is a clean and professional look.
Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 17 lineup on September 9, 2025, with pre-orders expected to begin on September 12.
If these leaks are accurate, the launch of this year's model may be one of the most colourful launches ever for Apple, offering a colour for everyone's taste to enjoy, from subtle classics to bold primary statement colours.
