Apple is set to introduce significant design changes to its upcoming iPhone 17 series, a move that could potentially boost sales in key markets such as China.

The upcoming lineup includes the standard iPhone 17 and a Pro model.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), leaker Sonny Dickson shared the latest CAD renders, according to which the iPhone 17 Pro will feature a sleek new design that combines aluminum and glass.

The leaked CAD renders mentioned the iPhone 17 Air model. Notably, the iPhone 17 Air is expected to be an ultra-thin model, featuring a single-lens 48MP camera housed inside a camera bar that spans the top of the device.

However, it will not support spatial video recording, which requires a dual-camera setup.

On the other hand, the standard iPhone 17 retains a familiar look, featuring a vertical dual-camera system capable of recording spatial videos. This design is expected to appeal to users who prefer a more traditional aesthetic.

Additionally, the iPhone 17 Pro series is expected to undergo significant changes, with an aluminum and glass build and a prominent camera bar replacing the traditional square camera module.

The handset will house a triple-lens camera system, a LiDAR scanner, an LED flash, and a microphone.

iPhone 17 series launch date

The Cupertino-based tech giant is expected to release the iPhone 17 lineup in September 2025, following its usual release schedule.
