Reports lodged on Downdetector regarding iCloud outage primarily focus on email and server connection failures

If you're struggling to figure out whether Apple's iCloud is still down, then be all ears as Apple's iCloud services have been resolved after undergoing a massive outage which lasted several hours and took effect on a global scale.

Major iCloud services that were disrupted include Find My, Photos, iWork, iCloud Mail, iCloud Calendar, and iCloud Contacts.

It was learned that the iCloud outage kicked off at around 1:18am IST, with Downdetector reporting a dramatic uptick in user-submitted complaints.

Reports lodged on Downdetector, regarding iCloud outage, primarily focused on email and server connection failures. Some users also reported syncing issues.

Apple acknowledged the disruption on its System Status page, confirming that “some users were affected,” but did not specify the extent or severity of the outage. The company announced that all affected services were fully restored by 4:30am IST.

Countless iCloud users vented out frustration on social media platform X (formery Twitter). One user remarked: “Never have I seen Apple’s cloud services down for this long with a straight-up ‘outage’ (vs. ‘issues’) no less. Over 2.5 hours and counting.”

No further details were provided by Apple on the root cause of the iCloud outage, however, the company has clarified that all iCloud services are now normally operational.
