
Pakistan’s digital transformation is gaining pace as the Federal Ministry of IT & Telecom takes new steps to strengthen the country’s tech backbone.
In a recent meeting, the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT), Federal Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja, met e& life CEO Khalifa AlShamsi, and PTCL President & Group CEO Hatem Bamatraf to explore new opportunities for collaboration in Pakistan’s rapidly evolving digital and telecom sectors.
The purpose of the meeting was to address digital infrastructure expansion, telecom innovation, and next-generation connectivity as part of the essential elements Pakistan is working towards with the vision of building a modern connected digital economy.
The IT minister reaffirmed the government’s vision of creating of creating vision of creating a technology-enabled country through public-private partnerships.
She reaffirmed that digital inclusion, rural connectivity, and reliable network backbones were basic components of economic growth and sustainable innovation.
Both sides highlighted the importance of creating digital services that would be user-friendly and modern telecom solutions that would connect millions of Pakistanis.
It is important to note that PTCL’s relationship with e& life, with the Ministry of IT and telecom support, will accelerate the modernisation of networks and digital readiness across Pakistan.
