
JazzCash, Pakistan’s leading fintech platform, recently announced its three-year roadmap to advance Pakistan’s journey towards transitioning into a cashless society.
The roadmap was presented by JazzCash President Murtaza Ali, alongside his team, to Kaan Terzioglu, VEON Group CEO, and Aamir Ibrahim, CEO and Chairman of Mobilink Microfinance Bank, at VEON’s global headquarters in Dubai.
VEON demonstrated support for JazzCash’s vision to reshape the industry, offering its services to enhance Pakistan’s digital payment ecosystem.
This step marks a substantial leap forward in unlocking Pakistan’s true growth potential, incorporating the informal economy into the formal industry, driving financial inclusion, strengthening tax compliance, and enhancing government revenues, ultimately revolutionizing Pakistan's socio-economic landscape.
VEON, a global digital operator offering integrated connectivity and digital services across six countries, also announced a US$ 15 million investment in Mobilink Microfinance Bank to progress its innovative goals, including fostering growth and streamlining workflows by strengthening digital capabilities.

Today, JazzCash has the largest QR payments network in Pakistan, with over 360,000 merchants, and the country’s largest digital loan issuer, having disbursed 80 million loans for productive purposes. It is also the nation’s largest e-commerce payment gateway having processed over PKR 160 billion last year alone.

In 2024, JazzCash processed transactions worth approximately 9% of Pakistan’s GDP, highlighting its significant role in financial inclusion. It aims to expand its footprint in the Gulf, improving digital services, supporting women’s financial empowerment, and aligning with Pakistan’s financial inclusion goals by 2028.
