In view of the increasing demand for gas supply during the winter season in Karachi, the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) on Friday decided to suspend the gas supply for industrial customers, captive power plants, and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) stations for 48 hours.

According to the released notification, the company said that in order to provide better gas pressure to its domestic and commercial customers, SSGC will suspend supply from 8am on Saturday, January 24, for the next 48 hours, i.e. until 8am on Monday, January 26.

SSGC said: "If any domestic consumer faces any gas pressure issue, please register your complaint on our 24-hour operational helpline 1199. Our dedicated staff will promptly address every complaint."

As per usual schedule, gas supply to domestic and commercial consumers will remain suspended from 10pm to 5am under gas load management on a daily basis.

SSGC urged that this news be advertised correctly, as in past, the same move was misrepresented by some elements on social media, causing mental distress to our domestic users.
