In a major step to improve customer convenience and experience, the Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has introduced a new digital payment system that enables users to use a QR code to instantly pay their electricity bills.

Customers no longer have to visit bank branches or bill centres thanks to this creative system, which allows them to pay straight through their mobile banking apps by scanning the QR code on their bills.

How to pay LESCO bill online

Customers can follow these steps to pay their bill online:

  • Open your mobile banking app
  • Choose the bill payment option
  • Scan the QR code on your LESCO bill
  • Input your reference number
  • Confirm the payment to pay your bill using the QR code.

As soon as the payment is successful, you will receive a confirmation message.

Customers can benefit from the QR code payment system in a number of ways, such as quicker payments, simpler and more convenient transactions, secure payments with a lower chance of errors, and round-the-clock accessibility.

According to LESCO CEO Muhammad Ramzan Butt, the initiative's goal is to make bill payments "faster, easier, and more secure".

He underlined that embracing contemporary technology is a reflection of LESCO's dedication to offering services that are open and easy for customers to use.

Butt stated that the new system is in line with LESCO's overarching objective of digital transformation in service delivery, emphasising that "our priority is to deliver convenience and reliability through innovation."

Customers of LESCO can pay their bills via the QR code payment system, the company's official website, bank branches, and the Easypaisa and JazzCash mobile wallet apps.

LESCO hopes to improve customer convenience, efficiency, and security by implementing the QR code payment system.
