LG has unveiled its latest gaming monitor, the UltraGear G8 (27G850A). The monitor is now listed in China and Japan and is expected to roll out globally soon.

Here is the breakdown of the recently launched monitor's specs:

UltraGear G8 specs

A 27-inch TV offers a 450-nit brightness level and holds the VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification, ensuring an enhanced streaming and gaming experience. For smooth and intuitive performance, the monitor features Nvidia G-Sync compatibility, VESA AdaptiveSync certification, and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, providing gamers with reduced screen tearing and stuttering.

The monitor includes DisplayPort 2.1, dual HDMI 2.1 ports, a USB Type-A port, and a 4-pole headphone jack. However, it does not come with built-in speakers. 

To cater specifically to gamers, the UltraGear G8 integrates features, such as a built-in FPS counter for real-time performance monitoring and dynamic action sync to minimise input lag. It also offers a crosshair overlay to enhance aiming precision and a dark stabilizer that improves visibility in darker environments.

In addition to the UltraGear G8, LG showcased its UltraGear GX9 series at CES 2025, which includes the award-winning 45GX990A and 45GX950A monitors. These 45-inch 5K2K OLED displays are equipped with cutting-edge gaming features like customizable aspect ratios and Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) support.
