Apple the tech company has released a new firmware update for AirPods Pro 2. AirPods firmware updates are designed to improve the performance and functionality of your earbuds. These updates are usually released to fix bugs, improve audio quality and add new features.

The newly launched AirPods 2nd generation firmware is labelled version 6.5.7 (6F7), available for both Lightning and USB-C models. This update is part of the same build train and is expected to bring bug fixes and other improvements.

While the release notes may not reveal much, we can explore what this update could mean for AirPods Pro 2 users. The USB-C version of the AirPods Pro 2 has a unique feature when paired with the Apple Vision Pro — flawless audio playback. This is not available on the Lightning Charging version due to hardware differences.
