Samsung officially confirmed the Exynos 2600 chipset on Wednesday, signaling that some Galaxy S26 models will come equipped with the new processor. The confirmation came via a teaser video on YouTube titled “The next Exynos”, featuring Stranger Things-inspired music and visuals.

The YouTube video, in particular, calls out the Exynos 2600 name and describes the chip as “refined at the core” and “optimised at every level”. The processor is also said to be “coming soon”, which further points to its inclusion on forthcoming Galaxy S26 devices.

Rumours suggest Samsung will use Exynos 2600 and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chips in the Galaxy S26 series, depending on the region. The Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus are said to come with either Exynos or Snapdragon processors. However, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is tipped to launch globally with Snapdragon only.

The Exynos 2600 is rumoured to feature the latest Arm CPU cores, an AMD GPU, and be built on a 2nm manufacturing process. While Exynos chips are always more efficient, Snapdragon processors usually provide higher raw performance, making benchmarks comparing both variants highly awaited.

Interestingly, it will be interesting to see how the Exynos 2600 competes with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 in the Galaxy S26 series. The teaser video is one of the strongest indications so far that Samsung is ready to introduce its next-generation Exynos processor.
