Locally assembled MG HS Plug-in Hybrid EV launched in Pakistan

MG HS Plug-in Hybrid EV (PHEV) was unveiled during the three-day Pakistan Auto Show 2024 (PAPS) at Lahore’s Expo Centre and is now available for booking.

Manufactured at MG’s fourth Global KD plant in Lahore, the locally assembled CKD SUV marks MG Motors Pakistan’s entry into the growing electric vehicle market.

The electric vehicle offers a fusion of electric and hybrid capabilities, representing the brand’s commitment to advancing eco-friendly technology in the country.

MG HS PHEV features

The MG HS PHEV’s hybrid system features a 1.5L turbocharged petrol engine with an electric motor, offering a combined power output of 260 hp and 370 Nm of torque. The vehicle boasts a 16.6 kWh battery and offers a pure electric range of 50 km.

The MG HS PHEV achieves an impressive fuel efficiency of 58.8 km/L, delivering 280 hp and accelerating from 0-100 km/h in just 7.1 seconds.

Providing sleek and stylish accents at each corner of the car, the 3D headlights offer enhanced visibility for clear and safer turning. However, the seats are made from leather and PVC, with a 6-way powered driver seat and a 4-way powered passenger seat.

The MG HS PHEV safety features include Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Intelligent High Beam Control (IHBC), Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) and more.

MG HS PHEV price in Pakistan

MG Pakistan has opened the MG PHEV bookings. Those interested can reserve theirs with a pre-booking amount of Rs2,000,000.

The company is yet to announce the official price of the MG HS PHEV, but sources claim that the SUV will be priced between Rs9.5 million and Rs10m.
