Marvel Rivals is a popular hero shooter game developed by NetEase Games, where players choose Marvel superheroes and villains to battle in team-based matches.
The game, which was released in December 2024, has already acquired more than 40 million players and is still receiving attention with the latest updates.
According to several rumours surfacing, the game's Season 2 could be released on April 11. The initial season, Eternal Night Falls, was a huge hit, setting the game's record for simultaneous players on Steam.
NetEase Games has confirmed that only two new heroes will be introduced in Season 2, as the developers plan to release a new playable character every six weeks.
Many fans are excited about the possible additions to the Marvel Rivals roster. Leaks suggest that fans are speculating that Blade might be added, as the existing Central Park map has him stuck in Dracula's lair.
Additionally, there is another rumour that Emma Frost will be coming to the game since data miners have found voice lines of Wolverine and Psylocke mentioning her. If the leak is genuine, she could be introduced as a Vanguard hero, which has thrilled many players.
However, since this information is not officially confirmed, fans should wait for an official announcement.
While Season 1 is coming to an end, Marvel Rivals is staying active with ongoing content. One of the newest updates brought along the Clone Rumble mode in which teams pick a single character to play with. The game also brought forward the Galacta's Cosmic Adventure event through which free rewards were available such as the Mrs. Barnes skin for Black Widow.
