Meta has officially announced to host its annual developer event, Meta Connect 2025, where it will unveil next-generation smart glasses, VR headsets and many other new devices.
Notably, the annual developer event 2025 will begin with the keynote from Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg. The event is expected to focus on Meta’s latest innovations in AI, AR, and VR, with a particular emphasis on next-generation smart glasses.
What to expect from Meta Connect 2025?
According to several Meta Connect 2025 leaks, the company will launch new smart glasses, called "Hypernova," which will feature a heads-up display on the right lens, as well as cameras, microphones, and an onboard AI assistant.
On the other hand, Meta is reportedly planning to launch the wristband at the Connect event 2025.
Moreover, Meta seems likely to unveil a new pair of smart glasses it developed with Oakley at Connect 2025. The companies are expected to launch a new pair of AI-powered smart glasses in Oakley’s Spheara style. This features a large unified lens on the front — an ideal shape for runners and bikers.
On the VR site, it’s unclear whether Meta will release any new Quest headsets as part of this year’s Connect. Meta is reportedly developing an ultralight VR headset for launch by the end of 2026.
Meta Connect 2025 date and time in Pakistan
Meta Connect 2025 is scheduled to begin at 5pm (PT) on Wednesday, which translates to 5am (PKT) in Pakistan on Thursday, featuring a keynote from Zuckerberg. The event is scheduled to take place at Meta’s headquarters in Menlo Park.
On the second day, Meta will host a Developer Keynote, starting at 10am (PT), which translates it into 10pm (PKT) in Pakistan, to discuss the new experiences people can build with its devices, and at 10:45pm (PKT), Meta will host a conversation between Chief Scientist of Reality Labs Michael Abrash and VP of Reality Labs Research Richard Newcombe. The two Meta executives are slated to discuss the “future of glasses with contextual AI, and how Meta is poised to transform the future of computing.”
