In the midst of well-known smartphone brands rushing to make ultra-slim devices—such as Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, iPhone Air, and Tecno Spark Slim—the competition seems to be intensifying as the Motorola Edge 70 is set to be launched and become one of the thinnest smartphones of the year.

The upcoming iPhone and Galaxy challenger was first teased in China, with the moniker X70 Air. The leak also hinted at an expected global launch under the Edge 70 name.

According to other reports, the Edge 70 will be less than 6 mm thick, directly competing with other ultra-slim phones from Samsung, Apple and Tecno.

A leaked promotional video showcased its ultra-slim design and highlights three stylish color options.

While the X70 Air is expected to debut in China later this month, the Moto maker has yet to announce the date for the Edge 70's global launch.

Given the competitive market for ultra-thin smartphones, it’s likely that the launch won’t be delayed for long.

Rumoured specifications suggested that the Motorola Edge 70 will feature a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS) and an ultrawide lens for a 120-degree field of view.

Apart from that, Motorola's new extra slim phone will be equipped with stereo speakers powered by Dolby Atmos, promising an impressive audio experience.

As Motorola is gearing up for this launch, slim phone enthusiasts are desperate to get more insights on this new sleek device.
