The popular online game Fortnite, known for its fast-paced Battle Royale mode and creative events, is teaming up with Star Wars again. This time, the game is launching a special season called Galactic Battle, starting May 2, 2025.
It will introduce Star Wars characters, abilities, and vehicles into Fortnite. Players can now enjoy a fresh adventure with a twist: Darth Jar Jar is debuting, as well as a new move called Force Lightning.
Fortnite and Star Wars collaborated previously, but this season is the most thrilling so far. The new Battle Royale season will allow players to pilot X-Wings and TIE Fighters, visit themed maps, and gain access to a special Star Wars Battle Pass.
In addition, players can expect characters such as Emperor Palpatine, Mace Windu, and a humorous representation of a Wookiee named Cuddle Team Leader. All these in-game rewards can be unlocked using Fortnite V-Bucks.
What to expect from Fortnite Galactic Battle season?
The season will roll out in five parts over five weeks:
- Imperial Takeover: May 2
- The Pull of the Force: May 8
- Mandalorian Rising: May 22
- Star Destroyer Bombardment: May 29
- Death Star Sabotage: June 7
Darth Jar Jar, a fan theory-turned-feature, adds a fun twist to this update. Voice actor Ahmed Best even improvised a line for the game: “I am the phantom menace.”
This new Fortnite Star Wars update brings the galaxy far, far away straight into your next Victory Royale.
