The Oppo Reno 15 series launched in China just three days ago, but early leaks now hint at major changes for the global version. A new report claims that the international Reno 15 model could feature a very different spec sheet.

Some upgrades may improve the phone, while others may leave fans divided. The leak also suggests that the global launch may happen in February.

The differences were considerable: the Chinese Reno 15 featured a 6.32-inch compact display, a 6200mAh battery, and a 200MP main camera.

It also boasted the Dimensity 8450 chipset, making it on par in terms of performance with the Reno 15 Pro. This created almost no performance gap between the two siblings, which Oppo may now be trying to fix.

According to the leak, the global Reno 15 will feature a larger 6.59-inch OLED panel with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The catch is that Oppo might swap out the Dimensity chip for a noticeably weaker processor: the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4.

The camera system changes, too. The global version reportedly loses the 200MP sensor and goes back to Oppo's older triple-camera layout: 50MP main, 50MP 3.5x telephoto, and an ultrawide lens. The 50MP selfie camera stays the same.

There's one major upgrade, though: the global Reno 15 might sport a 6500mAh battery, larger than its Chinese sibling, while retaining 80W fast charging.

More Oppo Reno 15 details are expected in the coming weeks as the global launch nears.
