To expand their footprint globally, over 100 Pakistani IT companies have participated in LEAP 2025, one of the world’s biggest tech trade fairs happening in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The tech conference in Saudi Arabia, which attracted innovators and experts from around the world, marked a major opportunity for Pakistan’s IT industry to showcase its expertise, establish partnerships, and attract international clients.

Over 100 Pakistan IT companies participate in LEAP 3025

More than 1,000 Pakistani delegates, including business leaders, government officials, and investors, attended LEAP 2025, making it Pakistan’s largest-ever participation in the event.

The companies are exhibiting their latest IT and IT-enabled services, networking with global firms, and exploring new investment opportunities. State Minister for IT and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja inaugurated Pakistan Pavilion, highlighting the country’s commitment to boosting technological growth.

The Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA) also played a vital role in promoting Pakistani firms at the event. P@SHA Senior Vice Chairman Muhammad Umair Nizam stated that Pakistani companies are drawing strong interest from international firms, leading to multiple business deals being signed. This is expected to increase IT exports, which saw a 100% increase in the last financial year.

Moreover, organisations like the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), the IT ministry, the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), and P@SHA have worked together to create a supportive environment for Pakistani IT businesses in Saudi Arabia and the GCC region.

Additionally, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Investment (MISA) has set up a help desk to simplify business registration for Pakistani firms, resulting in over 100 companies successfully entering the Saudi market.

Pakistan’s IT exports surged to $1.53 billion in the first half of FY2024-25, with forecasts suggesting they could exceed $4 billion by the end of the year. Exports to Saudi Arabia alone reached $50 million last year, and with the opportunities at LEAP 2025, this number is expected to grow further.
