Ministry of Religious Affairs has posted about a fraudulent recruiting campaign offering positions in Saudi Arabia for Hajj and Umrah services that has been reported in publications and on social media.
The advertising, which was released on December 8, promised free visas, return airfares, and lodging in exchange for two years of work in Makkah and Madinah.
The Bureau of Immigration and Overseas Employment (BEOE) registration number used in the advertisement is wrong, as confirmed by the ministry.
Under the titles "Khuddam al-Hujjaj" and "Khadmeen Hajj", the fraudulent company is taking advantage of unsuspecting individuals.
The government has sent a copy of the fraudulent warning, advising people to exercise caution.
It is recommended that citizens check corporate credentials on official government websites.
It is advised to always utilise official landlines for correspondence and to stay away from contacting mobile numbers that appear in dubious advertisements.
Additionally, the public is asked to notify law enforcement of any questionable advertisements.
Action is being taken against the offenders after law enforcement agencies were informed.
The ministry advises citizens to exercise caution in order to prevent becoming victims of such fraud, stressing that legitimate foreign recruitment organisations always use proper channels.
