Pakistan and Norway seem to have laid the foundations of telecom-focused collaboration as the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA Chairman recently paid an official visit to Telenor Group's headquarters in Norway during the UN Internet Governance Forum.

The PTA chairman's visit was aimed at enhancing international collaboration in digital transformation and advancing Pakistan's telecom sector.

During his Norway visit, the top PTA executive held high-level discussions with Telenor's chief financial officer and the group head of external relations, focusing on the telecommunications sector's crucial role in developing secure digital national infrastructure.

The meetings included demonstrations of 5G and artificial intelligence (AI) applications designed for innovative solutions in healthcare, mobility, and smart city initiatives.

He also participated in a session on best practices for spectrum allocation in Nordic countries, gaining insights into efficient spectrum management.
