The Pakistani e-sports sector is finally going international, with the country set to host its maiden international-level CS2 e-sports event, Offstrike. CS2, also known as Counter-Strike 2, is a highly sought-after esports game involving shooting matches that are played at an extremely fast pace with strategic play.
The CS2 event is set to take place in Pakistan in March 2026, a breakthrough for the gaming community, with the event organised by Spotcomm Global and Vider Media.
The launch, which came with a high-energy press conference, managed to make headlines within the gaming communities in Pakistan. This is the first time that overseas esports teams are going to come to Pakistan for a gaming event, with most people thinking that such a thing is still far off in the future.
The Offstrike CS2 tournament is set to take place at Dreamworld Resorts, Karachi. The best teams from Europe and Asia are going to lock horns with the best Pakistani teams in a high-stakes event.
The event has a prize money of $10,000, giving the locals a chance to pit their skills against experienced professionals from abroad.
Offstrike is being organised by Spotcomm Global and Vider Media, also known as ViderGG, through a joint venture.
Both companies have been steadily contributing to Pakistan’s digital entertainment and esports growth. Organisers say Offstrike is not just a one-off tournament but a statement that Pakistan esports can meet international production and competitive standards, while also attracting sponsors and long-term partnerships.
Pakistan’s esports ecosystem has gained momentum in 2025 with large-scale local events. The Sindh Esports Championship, held in November, featured more than 400 teams and over 2,500 players across CS2 and Valorant, supported by a Rs1.5 million prize pool and full LAN facilities.
