The free-to-play cosy hit Palia is releasing on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on May 13, 2025, in conjunction with its largest update ever, the Elderwood expansion.
Already adored by players on PC and Nintendo Switch, Palia is finally opening its gates to even more gamers next month.
Created by Singularity 6, a studio founded by former Blizzard and Riot developers, Palia is a fantasy life simulation game. Unlike action games, it emphasises calm activities such as farming, fishing, cooking, bug catching, and decorating your house.
What to expect from Palia?
The game takes place in a mystical world where human beings are assumed to be extinct, and players explore and establish new lives among an enigmatic people known as the Majiri.
The upcoming Elderwood expansion teases thrilling updates. The player will venture into a darker area with new mobs, quests, and secrets to uncover. The update is described as the largest since the game's release.
In addition, the PS5 and Xbox platforms will feature cross-play, which means that players can play with friends on PC and Switch as well.
Palia has already received 24 content updates since launch and continues to grow. It offers more than 800 items to decorate homes and includes seasonal events like the Lunar New Year. In January 2025, the game introduced Zeki’s Loyalty Club, which gives daily rewards to premium players.
