
PlayStation has announced a special State of Play event on Monday, to showcase exclusive gameplay of its upcoming game, James Bond: 007 First Light.
The game, which is an origin story for James Bond, was developed by IO Interactive and follows Bond as a Royal Navy aircrew person before being recruited by MI6 after an "audacious act of bravery".
What to expect from PlayStation State of Play event ?
In the State of Play event, fans will be treated to a little over 30 minutes of gameplay with Bond's first mission as an MI6 recruit, including high-speed car chases, stealth missions, and shootouts, all in addition to developer commentary that aims to explore the game's mechanics related to espionage.
In its June State of Play event, PlayStation showed a teaser trailer of 007 First Light featuring a young version of the iconic spy, who was originally created by author Ian Fleming.
IO Interactive also confirmed that the game will explore new takes on classic characters from the franchise, such as M, Q, and Moneypenny. And that 007 First Light is being planned as the first game of a trilogy.
How to watch PlayStation State of Play event?
The showcase on Wednesday will be streamed live via PlayStation's Twitch and YouTube channels.
