To make it happen soon, Pokémon GO has teamed up with one of the biggest tech giants in the realm of technology — Google.
This exciting partnership is set to offer exclusive in-game content to Play Points members. This means that the players will be able to play for a limited time, they can use their Play Points to purchase special items, including a rare Pokémon encounter.
From now until July 14, Pokémon GO players in selected countries can use their Google Play Points to buy exclusive Partner Research, leading to an encounter with Charcadet, a rare fire-type Pokémon.

Additionally, players can get a temporary points boost, earning quintuple the points on in-game purchases.
Pokémon GO Play Points upgrade
Gold+ Play Points members in New York City can register for a Wildcard, and unlock exclusive merchandise and prizes including meeting 100 Thieves e-personalities. Moreover, they can access Pokémon x 100 Thieves merchandise at the Google Store in Chelsea.
This collaboration might signal an upgrade to the Play Points program, which recently introduced new bonuses like exclusive merchandise and early access to games with more 'VIP experiences' at events, starting with GO Fest.
