
PTCL is acquiring Telenor Pakistan in a multibillion-rupee deal, pending regulatory approvals. This strategic move would boost PTCL's market share, drive investment in new technologies, and enhance infrastructure, ultimately benefiting consumers with improved services and expanded 4G coverage
According to PTCL's President and Group CEO Hatem Bamatraf, the company aims to create a customer-centric entity, focusing on innovative technologies and infrastructure. "We believe it's a great step, not only for PTCL but for the entire telecom market and Pakistan," Bamatraf stated.
He emphasised the global trend of in-market consolidations, especially in emerging markets.

The acquisition would raise the level of competition, ultimately benefiting consumers with enhanced services.
