Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has ordered the Punjab Enforcement and Regulatory Authority (PERA) to equip all employees with body cameras to improve accountability and transparency.

During a high-level review meeting in Lahore on Friday, CM was given a thorough briefing on PERA's performance and operational difficulties.

Enforcing the law is important, but it must be done with dignity and respect, CM stressed.

She authorised the launch of specialised training programmes to enhance PERA employees' public relations and professionalism.

In an effort to give residents quick, secure, and eco-friendly services, Sharif has also authorised electric cars for the PERA fleet.

Additionally, a cutting-edge PERA Training Centre will be built to bolster the force with organised instruction and modernised operational guidelines.

The CM emphasised that bribery, misconduct, or abuse will not be tolerated within the PERA Force and urged staff to concentrate more on achieving successful outcomes in order to gain the public's favour.
