Since the completion of WWDC 2024, the emergence of insights into whatever Apple announced at the event has become a routine encounter.
Corroborating this frequent happening is a development around iOS 18, the top-of-the-line software update for iPhone. While Apple announced to bring Rich Communication Services (RCS) chats on iPhone with iOS 18, there seems to be no indication of the feature being accessible to even beta users.
That being said, beta users of iOS 18 willing to get their hands on it will have to be a bit more patient to be able to enable RCS on their iPhones.

RCS allows iPhone users to send rich messages with audio as well as heavy multimedia to Android users. Although the green bubbles on the RCS messages would be kept intact, the Messages app on Android devices will label the conversation as “Text Message – RCS”.
Release earlier this month, the first beta version of iOS 18 contained no signs of RCS support, however; the recently released second beta of iOS 18 was seen accompanying a new RCS toggle in the Settings app, which itself is not available to every user.
However, the constricted, or even no, availability of RCS has added to the woes of iPhone users eyeing to make the most of iOS 18, making them wonder about and dig out the factors at play behind the feature being non-functional despite the toggle being turned on.
According to 9to5Mac, RCS support on the iOS 18 beta 2 code is wholly dependent on Apple's cooperation with carrier partners to let them have their bundles shipped with iOS.
