What is One UI?
It's a customised user interface designed for Samsung devices, offering a unique experience with enhanced features and optimisations.
The One UI 7 beta was initially expected in late July, but Samsung shall unveil it today at SDC 2024. The update will bring significant improvements to the Gallery app, including an AI Search feature.
This functionality, similar to Google Photos' Ask Photos, enables users to search for specific images using natural language. For instance, you can search for "photos of me and my dog playing catch."

Samsung's Gallery app has been criticised for lacking features compared to Google Photos.
However, with recent updates, notably One UI 6.1, the company has introduced AI-powered editing tools inspired by Google. The AI Search feature shall further elevate the Gallery app, making it a compelling alternative to Google Photos.
