
Samsung is gearing up to launch its next mid-range smartphone, the Galaxy A56, early next year. The device has been spotted in the IMEI database, revealing its model number (SM-A566B/DS) and 5G connectivity. This development suggests that Samsung has begun serious work on the Galaxy A56.

The Galaxy A56 would be powered by the Exynos 1580 chipset-most powerful performance package of this generation. The Exynos 1580 is supposed to be the most powerful as Qualcomm's flagship chip for 2021, which is Snapdragon 888.
The Exynos 1580 chipset comes with an octa-core CPU that is one premium core clocked at 2.91GHz, three high-end cores clocked at 2.6GHz and four efficiency cores at 1.95GHz.
In graphics, Exynos 1580 would be featured with the Xclipse 540 GPU taken from AMD's RDNA3 graphics architecture. It would deliver far better graphics and performance making Galaxy A56 handle high-end games.
It would have a look like premium, feature glass at front and back, a metal frame, stereo speakers, and an IP67 rating to avoid the intrusion of dust and water.
The Galaxy A56 is expected to be equipped with most of the features from its predecessor, the Galaxy A55, a bright 120Hz OLED display, an OIS primary camera and an in-display fingerprint reader. Samsung would surely enhance video recording capabilities too, which might add 4K 60fps recording capabilities.
