In light of a new report making waves online, it appears that Samsung lovers may have to exercise patience as the Galaxy S26 series' launch has reportedly been delayed until 2026.

The much-awaited successor of the popular Galaxy S25 will now debut in March 2026, according to a report cited by PhoneWorld, although new Galaxy flagships have traditionally been unveiled in January.

The primary reason for the delay in the Galaxy S26 lineup is a bit of a change in the production schedule, as mass production for the Galaxy S26 Ultra will now begin in December 2025, while the Galaxy S26 and S26+ will start production in January 2026.

Originally, Samsung had plans to manufacture all three models in December, but this schedule appears to have been tweaked after the cancellation of the Galaxy S26 Edge variant, which required a redesign of the S26+ that will take an additional month or two.

As of now, development for the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Ultra is about to be completed, but the S26+ needs more time before entering full-scale production. This staggered production approach means the overall launch timeline is most likely to be pushed back.

The delay would eventually impact Samsung's usual early-year Galaxy Unpacked event, which could be postponed.

For those waiting, the wait will be worth it as the new Galaxy S26 series will feature new design enhancements, improved cameras, and advanced processors.
