The Samsung Galaxy Unpacked September 4, 2025 event took place on Thursday, announcing a range of new devices, including the highly anticipated Galaxy Tab S11 and Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra.
The new tablets bring updated specs, improved design, and significant changes to the S Pen.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 and Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra specifications
This year, Samsung revived the Galaxy Tab S11, the smaller 11-inch version that was absent in last year's lineup, alongside the flagship 14.6-inch Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. There is no 12.4-inch "Plus" variant this year.
Both tablets are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset, and there are memory options of up to 12GB RAM on the Tab S11 and 16GB on the top-tier Tab S11 Ultra with 1TB of storage.
Moreover, the tablets feature 45W fast charging, quad speakers, an under-display fingerprint sensor, and expandable storage with a microSD slot. The battery capacities of the Tab S11 are 8,400mAh, and the Ultra is 11,600mAh, while both tablets are still incredibly thin at 5mm (Tab S11) and 5.6mm (Ultra, a tiny bit thicker for the larger battery).
One significant change is to the front camera. The Tab S11 Ultra now has a single 12MP selfie camera in a single display hole and is noticeably thinner due to a smaller notch, like the smaller Tab S11.
Samsung has also made other changes in how the S Pen works. The company has removed Bluetooth support and has now limited the input to be close-range only, meaning the pen attaches magnetically to the side of the tablet like the Apple Pencil, removing the older and clunky rear dock and eliminating the need to charge.

The new Galaxy Tab S11 series ships with One UI 8 and starts at $799, while the Tab S11 Ultra starts at $1,199.
