Samsung has begun the rollout of its newest One UI 8 update for the Galaxy Tab S10 Plus, which makes the tablet the first in Samsung’s lineup to receive the update.
The rollout has commenced in South Korea, which should be followed by a global rollout in the next few days. A well-known tipster, Vats, claims that Tab S10 Plus users in South Korea can now download the stable update.
Samsung began its One UI 8 rollout earlier this month with the Galaxy S25 series, and other devices shortly followed: the Galaxy S24, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6, and just today the Galaxy S23 series received the update. Now tablets are receiving the update.
While the Tab S10 Plus is the first device to move from One UI 7 to One UI 8, it has not been the first device to run on UI 8.
Last month, Samsung released the Galaxy Tab S11 and Tab S12 Ultra, which launched with One UI 8. The Tab S11 family featured an enhanced Samsung DeX experience with multiple monitor support that allows external displays to be used in addition to the tablet screen, rather than replacing it.
However, it is expected that the Tab S10 Plus will gain the same DeX functionality; the initial changelog shared by the tipster does not confirm this.
More details are likely to emerge once the update expands globally, which industry watchers predict could happen before the end of this week.
