Saudi Arabia’s Prince Sultan University (PSU) in Riyadh has unveiled a groundbreaking artificial intelligence (AI) initiative in collaboration with Intelmatix, a software company in the Saudi capital, and cooperation with researchers from the top 10 international universities specialising in AI technology.

The programme aims to promote an innovative and entrepreneurial culture in the country through advanced training and cooperative research initiatives that connect students and experts worldwide.

According to Vice President Dr Saad Al-Ruwaiteeh, this initiative aims to enhance the university’s position as a leading global centre for research and development, addressing critical global challenges.

The PSU vice president also outlined the importance of this step in advancing specialised academic programmes in AI, creating cutting-edge digital solutions, and empowering faculty and students to establish startups that showcase their creativity and leadership in the AI field.

The programme aligns with Saudi Vision 2030’s emphasis on digital transformation and AI as key drivers of growth, as noted by the Dean of the College of Computer and Information Sciences, Dr Mohammed Al-Sharaa.
