The gaming industry appears to have been pushed into a frenzy as Konami has shared the new teaser of Silent Hill: F, disclosing details avid Silent Hill gamers did not anticipate.
Packed in the latest Transmission YouTube stream Thursday, the Silent Hill: F trailer revealed the developer is pereferring a new 1960s Japanese setting over the titular town, complimented with a theme of "finding the beauty in terror."
It should be noted that the last version in the Silent Hill franchise was released in 2013, titled Downpour, CNet reported.
The new Silent Hill upgrade is coming on the heels of the Silent Hill 2 Remake releasing last year, which sold over 1 million copies within the first three days of its release.
In 2022, Silent Hill: F's previous teaser painted a picture of how the widely acclaimed title could look and feel.
"When Hinako Shimizu's secluded town of Ebisugaoka is consumed by a sudden fog, her once-familiar home becomes a haunting nightmare. As the town falls silent and the fog thickens, Hinako must navigate the twisted paths of Ebisugaoka, solving complex puzzles and confronting grotesque monsters to survive," said Konami.
Notable among the details of Silent Hill: F is a vibrantly tweaked colour palette, with added brighter visuals and contrasts that bring up a visual appeal reflecting a shady vibe in the backdrop.
Intact since the rollout of Silent Hill 3, the monotony of featuring a male protagonist is also broken in the Silent Hill: F.
