The Sindh government has introduced a new job portal to offer employment opportunities for job seekers in the province. The online portal will include job postings from government and private sector organisations.
The launch function was graced by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, and Senior Provincial Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon. Leading figures of the business community and others were also seen in attendance at the function.
Addressing the inauguration, Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon pointed out that 65% of Pakistan's population is youth, and this job portal is meant to assist them in getting jobs. He added that both educated people and skilled labourers can register on the website by uploading their CVs.
Govt and private sector jobs available
The Sindh job website will not only post government jobs but will also assist private firms in recruiting skilled professionals. Memon further said that most young people prefer working in government jobs, but jobs in the private sector will also be advertised.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah stressed that this project will unite employment opportunities and skills, enabling the province to move forward. He urged employers as well as job aspirants to sign up on the platform.
The portal will feature advertisements for grades 1 to 4 postings, while grade 5 to grade 15 postings will be managed by the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) to make it transparent.
