The Sindh government lifted the ban on hiring from Grade 5 to Grade 15 and gave the green light to the departments concerned to start recruitment as per rules. A notification in this regard has been issued to all the concerned departments to start the process.

This move has come just a few days after Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah launched the Sindh Job Portal (SJP) on October 28, in Karachi, making Sindh the first province in Pakistan to have a centralised online system for job applications in its government departments.

The system has been developed by the Science and Information Technology Department in collaboration with Sukkur IBA, providing the facility for candidates to get themselves registered, upload required documents, and apply for various departments' vacancies smoothly and transparently.

He said this while speaking at the launch, adding that the initiative reflects the vision of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto for equal employment opportunities and transparent recruitment.

The chief minister said recruitment for Grade 1 to 5 posts would start within fifteen days, adding that the higher-grade positions would be filled soon after through the same digital system.

Moreover, the online test scheduling, real-time result update facility, and departmental coordination with the Finance Department to avoid delays ensure a smooth and accountable recruitment process through the portal.
