Sindh Police on Monday announced new measures to encourage citizens to pay their e-challan fines for traffic violations in a timely manner.

According to the Karachi Traffic Police, citizens receiving their first e-challan will not have to pay the fine if they submit an apology. Meanwhile, for a second violation, citizens can get a 50% discount, paying the fine within 14 days.

It should be noted that all e-challans are required to be settled within 21 days, after which the full fine will apply.

Citizens can easily check traffic violations through the recently launched 'Tracks Citizens' app, which is aimed at providing real-time updates of traffic violations, displaying registered vehicles on your Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC) and offering online payment options.

One of the most important features of the 'Tracks Citizens' app is the ability to receive immediate notifications about traffic rule violations, delivered in two parts: a warning and an e-ticket (e-challan).

Karachiites can now stay updated with the e-challans, avoiding fines by following laws and driving on the roads safely.
