With clearance from the Ministry of Interior, Starlink is now one step closer to launching satellite internet services in Pakistan. The company has received a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Pakistan Space Activities Regulatory Authority (PSARA), marking a major step toward its launch in the country.
This approval confirms that the company has met all regulatory requirements to provide high-speed satellite internet in Pakistan.
When will Starlink launch in Pakistan?
The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) will issue Starlink's final license in the next two weeks. The company has already applied and submitted technical and business plans for consideration.
After approval, Starlink will be able to provide high-speed satellite internet throughout Pakistan.
Starlink has achieved critical registration phases, with approvals from the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), and PSARA.
PTA registration remains the final phase, under process currently for evaluation to prevent disrupting the existing network with its services.
Pakistan launched its National Satellite Policy in 2023 and the Space Activities Rules in 2024 to enhance space communication. These policies have allowed businesses such as Starlink to provide internet access across the country.
