Owing to the acclaim received by the original, feature-rich Nintendo Switch, the upcoming iteration has stirred euphoria among enthusiasts, with fans eagerly awaiting to get their hands on it.
Nintendo Switch emulator Ryujinx shut down
Unfortunately, a specific group of people will surely overlook the supposed Nintendo Switch 2, as it will make no difference to them considering they have long been leveraging workarounds to emulate Nintendo Switch which will also work for the Nintendo variant in the works.
Similar to an earlier this year attempt to reduce Switch emulation wherein Nintendo shut down one of the most popular Switch emulators Yuzu, and to serve the purpose, the company has shut down Ryujinx, the second greatest Switch emulator.
With the case of the Ryujinx done and dusted, Nintendo enthusiasts are left with only a handful of options.
Bringing to light the actual what led to the cessation of the Nintendo emulator, Ryujinx developer in a post at GBATemp revealed that they were reached out by Nintendo with a proposal which would put an end to all the work on the Switch emulator project.
Gdkchan's view on Ryujinx shutdown
The lead developer at Ryujinx “gdkchan” told Android Authority that they were deliberating on the offer and planning to respond later. However, before they came on the same page, the firm began to collapse, as the Ryujinx developer concluded that “gdkchan” accepted Nintendo’s offer.
