In a big move towards the availability of its satellite-to-phone connectivity in remote areas, T-Mobile has kicked off large-scale testing of the satellite service using SpaceX's Starlink satellites.
By offering satellite services directly on smartphones, the American broadband network provider aims to address mobile dead zones and widen its connectivity in areas with little to no network availability.
As part of its testing trial, the service has been made free until its full-fledged inclusion in T-Mobile's premium Go5G Next plan which is scheduled for July 2025.
