Telenor Microfinance Bank has officially been rebranded as easypaisa Digital Bank, effective from Tuesday. 

The renaming indicates the bank's progression from a microfinance institution to a digital retail bank. The new registered name is easypaisa Bank Limited, and it will operate under the brand name easypaisa. 

In a statement, the company expressed pride in introducing an expanded range of products and services integrated into the renowned easypaisa platform. easypaisa Digital Bank focuses on providing an extensive array of digital banking services to users. 

Moreover, the bank will now operate under the Banking Companies Ordinance (BCO), 1962, with no changes to its existing shareholding structure.

According to the Licensing and Regulatory Framework for Digital Banks, easypaisa Digital Bank is set to provide an expanded range of services. 

These services include digital accounts, consumer lending solutions, and term deposit services. The bank is also developing a comprehensive product suite to further enhance its digital banking capabilities. 

Notably, easypaisa Digital Bank has a strong operational infrastructure that includes multiple channels to serve its stakeholders effectively. The digital banking platforms, led by the Easypaisa app, are supported by an extensive nationwide agent network. 

Moreover, the bank maintains smart branches, Sales & Service Centers, and ATM networks to manage seamless financial needs. Additionally, a 24/7 help centre and USSD channels ensure continuous service availability.
