In a disturbing happening, a Tesla Cybertruck exploded into ashes outside the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas on Wednesday, leaving one dead and seven with minor injuries.

The explosion left Tesla CEO Elon Musk in disbelief and astonishment, as he claimed that he never encountered anything like the incident in question.

According to Reuters, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) launched a probe into the Cybertruck blast to determine whether it was a terrorist attack.

Footage taken by bystanders inside and outside the Trump Hotel vividly captured the vehicle exploding into pieces and flames falling out of it.

A person was found dead inside the Cybertruck's 2024 model, said Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Sheriff Kevin McMahill at a press conference.

The explosion was under thorough examination by the world-class electric vehicle (EV) maker, said Musk.

"The whole Tesla senior team is investigating this matter right now. We’ve never seen anything like this." said the Tesla boss in a post on his microblogging platform X (formerly Twitter).

The police sheriff highlighted that the Cybertruck pulled up to the Trump building at 8:40am (local time). The Cybertruck explosion follows the New Orleans attack that occurred in the wee hours of Wednesday, regarding which the FBI said a potential explosive device was used in the attack.
