VEON plans to relocate HQ to Dubai to 'drive innovation and connectivity' in Pakistan

VEON Group CEO says HQ in Dubai reflects 'strategic realignment of our focus with closer proximity to our key markets'

In a remarkable development, Jazz and VEON disclosed their plans to move its headquarters from Amsterdam to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, where the global digital operator has been functioning since early 2022.

VEON's relocation of headquarters from Amsterdam to Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) will earn it the title of the largest Nasdaq-listed company headquartered in Dubai, where Nasdaq Dubai is also located.

“This relocation strengthens Jazz’s ability to accelerate our ServiceCo and enterprise journey by leveraging Dubai’s role as a global tech hub and driving innovation in connectivity and digital services for our customers across Pakistan and beyond," said Jazz CEO Aamir Ibrahim.

He added that the shifting of VEON's HQ will ensure even smoother and more efficient provision of innovative solutions in connectivity, fintech, cloud, cybersecurity, and expanding digital integration.

“Our decision to relocate VEON's headquarters to Dubai reflects the strategic realignment of our focus with closer proximity to our key markets,” said VEON Group CEO Kaan Terzioglu.

VEON's functioning headquarters in Dubai would enable it to make the most of a wider expanse of opportunities inherent in Dubai, Terzioglu added.

VEON's topshot remarked that aspects, where the company's services will embrace an advantageous edge, include proximity to our operations, world-class talent in closer reach, and the rise to greater popularity in the face of a broader scope of potential Gulf investors.
