Verizon network down today as its cellular data not working

Verizon's support account on X says, "We're aware of a nationwide situation affecting multiple states"

In a long series of outages reportedly having chocked various apps and websites earlier this week, some Verizon customers are experiencing mobile network outages in multiple parts of the United States since Thursday evening.

Verizon data not working

The disrupted services have been officially confirmed by the company. In a response to a user's complaint on X (formerly Twitter) the company's support account stated, "We're aware of a nationwide situation affecting multiple states."

Since it gripped almost entire Midwest and West of the US, the Verizon data outage has been highlighted in users reports and feedbacks.

With social media platforms flooded with the outcry regarding Verizon outage, Downdetector, website which keeps a check on outages worldwide, recorded 12,599 reports of outages at around 6:39 p.m. ET on Thursday, a number which dropped to 5,831 by 9:54 p.m.

"We are aware of an issue impacting service for some customers, primarily in Midwestern and Western states," a spokesperson for Verizon said in an email.

Verizon data network down

In an attempt to address and assure users of a quick fix, the company's support account said in a post that outages are usually fixed within 48 hours, meaning that the Verizon outage will too be resolved within the stated time period.

In light of the reports emerging on the internet, Verizon is down in Michigan, Chicago, San Diego, Los Angeles, California, and a few more states.
