2K has officially confirmed that WWE 2K26, the next installment in the popular WWE video game series, is now in development.
The game is set to release in fiscal year 2026, which means fans can expect it to arrive by April 2026.
WWE 2K25 features
Based on the release trend of previous titles like WWE 2K22, 2K23, 2K24, and the recently released WWE 2K25, it is likely that WWE 2K26 will hit shelves in March 2026.
WWE 2K games allow users to play as their favourite WWE Superstars and legends in the wrestling ring. The series features game modes such as Showcase, Universe, MyGM, and MyRISE, providing both story and simulation gameplay for wrestling fans.
In addition to the console edition, 2K also announced WWE 2K Mobile, which will be released in Fall 2025.
The game will be accessible for Netflix members and represents 2K's foray into the increasing market of mobile wrestling video games.
Information on what WWE 2K Mobile will include is still a secret, but it's evident that the creators are eager to allow more fans access with new platforms.
WWE 2K25 has been hailed as the best of the series since the problems encountered with WWE 2K20.
With improved gameplay, improved graphics, and additional content, it restored faith in the franchise. The great success of 2K25 is no wonder that WWE 2K26 is on its way.
WWE 2K25 release date
The release has yet to be officially announced on platforms, but players are optimistic that it can potentially return WWE 2K to Nintendo with a possible Switch 2 release.
