X (formerly Twitter) and Reddit are reportedly down for thousands of users across the world, including the United States (US) and the United Kingdom (UK), as they are unable to access the platforms on Tuesday evening.
According to the outage-tracking website, Downdetector, there were more than 22,900 reports of issues with the platform in the US as of 9:19am ET.
As per the platform, 59% of reports were made regarding the X app, while 24% were about website, and 16% were about users not getting feed timeline on the app.
Meanwhile, Reddit has also faced an global outage, affecting users to do their tasks. According to Downdetector, approximately 59% of users reported that the app isn't working, 39% complained about the website, and 7% complained about server connection issues. The problem impacted both mobile and desktop users.
It should be noted that X has yet to officially address the outage, while addressing the major outage, Reddit said that it was seeing “elevated errors” and that it was investigating. Surely after, it said “issue has been identified and a fix is being implemented”.
