Commandos: Origins arrives on Xbox Game Pass with co-op mode
Xbox Game Pass subscribers can look forward to Commandos: Origins launching on April 9, 2025. The real-time stealth tactics game brings back the classic franchise with six unique characters, each with special abilities, and features a co-op mode for online or split-screen play.
The game will also be available on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5, with PS4 and Xbox One versions launching later in the year.
Exciting Xbox Game Pass releases in April 2025
April would be a major month for Xbox Game Pass subscribers. Alongside Commandos: Origins, two major titles are also set to arrive: South of Midnight on April 8 and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 on April 24. Nintendo is reportedly working on a new 3D Mario game for the Switch 2, featuring environments inspired by The Super Mario Bros. Movie. One of the rumoured locations is Brooklyn, New York, which played a key role in the 2023 animated film.
While there’s no official confirmation, speculation suggests the game could be revealed at the upcoming Nintendo Direct on April 2, 2025, and possibly launch before the year ends.
GTA 6 to feature advanced in-game phone mechanics
GTA 6 is expected to push the in-game phone feature to new heights, potentially introducing social media apps, live-streaming for in-game events, video calls for missions, and dating apps for enhanced character interactions.
Rockstar has remained silent since the December 2023 trailer, but publisher Take-Two Interactive has reaffirmed that GTA 6 is on track for a Fall 2025 release, dismissing recent delay rumours.
Cloudheim: A Zelda-inspired co-op adventure
Cloudheim, a new action RPG developed by Noodle Cat Games, is set to thrill Legend of Zelda fans. Featuring open-world exploration, intense combat, and RPG customisation, the game will be available on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. While an exact release date hasn't been confirmed, Cloudheim is expected to launch sometime in 2025.
Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 update leak reveals launch dates
A recent leak has unveiled the updated schedule for Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2, set to launch on February 21. Additional major updates include:
- v34.10 on March 11
- v34.20 (Fortnite OG Season 3) on March 25
- v34.30 on April 8
- v34.40 on April 22
- v35.00 (Chapter 6 Season 3) on May 2
These updates are subject to change, but they have already generated excitement among Fortnite players.
