Xbox is rolling out a major update to its Home screen that puts players in control of what they see.

Gamers spend hours every week playing their favourite titles, and now Xbox is making it easier to get back into the action faster.

Xbox new Home screen update

Microsoft has announced new customization options for the Xbox Home UI. These changes will first roll out to Xbox Insiders, a programme where users can test new features before they’re launched to everyone.

The biggest update is the ability to pin up to three recently played games or apps directly to the Home screen. This means your top games will always be just a click away, no matter what you open next.

It's a small but powerful change for those who like jumping between popular games like Call of Duty, Fortnite, or EA FC 24 without digging through menus.

Microsoft is also allowing users to hide system apps from the Home screen. If you only care about games, you can clean up the interface to show just what matters.

There’s more, players will soon be able to change the number of visible tiles and adjust the tile size to make the screen feel less crowded.

“We’ve heard from many of you that Home should feel more like your space,” said Xbox’s software engineering lead Eden Marie. “This update is a direct response to that feedback.”

These Home screen changes follow Microsoft’s previous design overhaul in 2023, which made room for bigger backgrounds and easier navigation.
