Xiaomi’s high-end electric sedan, the SU7 Ultra, has been spotted at the company’s Beijing factory, sparking rumours that mass production will commence soon, ahead of its launch expected in March.
The SU7 Ultra is designed for extreme speed, producing 1,526 horsepower to become the fastest four-door electric car.
Xiaomi SU7 Ultra production begins
The SU7 Ultra is an upgraded version of the standard Xiaomi SU7 which was introduced earlier. Pre-sales for the Xiaomi SU7 upgrade began on October 29, listed at a premium price tag of CNY 814,900 ($113,200).
Despite its high cost, it received 680 orders within 10 minutes of its debut. The first deliveries are set for March, and the presence of multiple units at Xiaomi’s Beijing plant suggests that the company is prepared to cater to rising demand.
Xiaomi SU7 Ultra features (expected)
Recent leaked images of SU7 Ultra disclosed the key properties of design upgrades, and chief among them is a sporty front bumper, enhanced brakes, an exclusive yellow finish with white “Ultra” stripes, an extended rear spoiler, and a slightly wider body.
The SU7 Ultra is powered by a 93.7 kWh CATL battery with fast-charging support, allowing 10-80% fillup in 11 minutes. Its tri-motor setup produces 1,526 hp and 1,770 Nm of torque, enabling a 0-100 km/h acceleration in 1.98 seconds.
Another notable feature of this vehicle is its advanced braking system with carbon ceramic discs, which ensures top-tier performance under extreme conditions.
While the company has not officially confirmed mass production, the factory sightings strongly suggested that the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is deep in production.
