Apple has just transformed the smartphone experience with its latest iPhone 16 series launch by introducing Apple Intelligence, a suite of AI-powered features that will transform the way you interact with your device.

Apple visual intelligence

Apple Intelligence is designed to make everyday life simpler through understanding and creating both language and images, taking action for you, and presenting personalised experiences.

These features epitomise new technology incorporated into the camera, writing tools, and Siri in this phone.

Camera Control button

A new button called Camera Control is introduced, which allows users to enable certain actions using Apple Intelligence, such as creating events in the calendar or searching information from images.

It utilises Apple Visual Intelligence, which applies AI to images and then acts upon what's in them.

Writing tools

With Apple Intelligence comes a host of advanced writing tools that are so deeply baked into iOS 18 that it will let users rewrite paragraphs for specific audiences, correct spelling and grammar, and even turn prose into bulleted lists.

Image Playground

In the iPhone 16, the default app is Image Playground. It allows users to create images using AI. This capability has been extended into analysing existing images and videos by allowing users to look for specific moments or objects.

Focus and Prioritise

Automate tasks like summarising emails and notifications using Apple Intelligence so that the attention of the users can be focused on what matters.

It also utilises machine learning to rank notifications so that the most urgent ones appear at the top.

New era for Siri

Siri herself gets an enhanced conversational language feature that lets users interact with this AI assistant in the most natural intuitive manner.

It can now understand and respond to even complex queries when the user changes requests mid-sentence.
