Expectedly, many leaks and rumours started surfacing online, and initial insights into the battery capacities of the upcoming iPhone 16 series have surfaced.
Notably, the batteries of the iPhone 16 Pro series could be larger compared to those of the iPhone 15 series. Reports suggest that the standard iPhone 16 could house a 3,561mAh cell, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max might feature a larger 4,676mAh battery.
Taking to X (formerly named Twitter), Tipster Majin Bu (@MajinBuOfficial) shared the purported battery specifications of the iPhone 16 series. Allegedly, the iPhone 16 Pro models will boast larger batteries than their predecessors. Conversely, it's speculated that the iPhone 16 Plus may see a reduction in battery capacity compared to the previous year's model.
According to the leak, the iPhone 16 could be equipped with a 3,561mAh battery, while the iPhone 16 Plus might sport a 4,006mAh battery. As for the iPhone 16 Pro Max, it's suggested to feature a 4,676mAh battery.

However, details regarding the battery specifications of the iPhone 16 Pro are currently unavailable. It's mentioned that the top-tier iPhone 16 Pro Max could undergo an internal redesign in the battery setup, transitioning from an L-shaped to a rectangular configuration.
Apple typically keeps its iPhone battery capacities undisclosed, but the tipster claims that the iPhone 15 features a 3,349mAh battery, while the iPhone 15 Plus boasts a 4,383mAh battery. The iPhone 15 Pro Max, reportedly, houses a 4,422mAh battery. These figures are largely consistent with previously revealed battery capacities from teardown videos of the devices.
The iPhone 15 series debuted with rechargeable lithium-ion battery units, with non-Pro models purportedly offering up to 26 hours of video playback on a single charge, while Pro models claim a maximum of 29 hours. The regular iPhone 15 models are powered by the A16 Bionic chip, unveiled in 2022, whereas the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max run on the next-generation A17 Pro chip.
